I create highly sculpted  wall mosaics that are carved and composed entirely in raw wood.  Each piece is a one-of-a-kind sculptural  tapestry crafted over many hours of carving, designing, and finishing to achieve a richly dimensional artwork.

These works sit at the intersection between fine art and high craftsmanship-utterly unique techniques and perspectives wielding wood into art that transcends how we think about material- infusing it with motion and emotion.

My work finds the beauty in raw common wood.  Often, the wood I use is from broken furniture, or discarded from wood shops.  In fact, I like the wood that is mostly rejected by traditional woodworkers.  Those bent boards where the grain twists and swirls delights me, and becomes focal points within the sculpture.

Wood has a willingness to be transformed, making it the perfect medium for carving into movement and life - in a tapestry of wood.

For me, living with beautiful objects that pay tribute to the natural world reminds me to slow down and connect with nature.  My art reminds people that we are all transformable - that broken is an opportunity to be something

even more complete.
